How to Install eclipse-jdt software package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

eclipse-jdt software package provides Eclipse Java Development Tools (JDT), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install eclipse-jdt

eclipse-jdt is installed in your system.

Make ensure the eclipse-jdt package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep eclipse-jdt *

You will get with eclipse-jdt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
